Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is a simple, painless procedure with lasting results.  If you are happy with your teeth but want a brighter, white smile this treatment is perfect for you.

There are 3 options for teeth whitening. We have some example teeth discolouration before and afters in our Smile Gallery or you can read more about each treatment below.

Home Whitening

Home whitening is the least expensive route of whitening your teeth. The dentist will carefully take impressions of your teeth and make custom whitening trays that fit your teeth perfectly. These are used in combination with the whitening gel at home. A small amount of gel is squeezed into the trays and then worn for 4 hours per day.

Number of appointments required: 15min free consultation. Pick up trays 24hrs later.
Treatment time 14 days
Results Up to 8 shades lighter
Advantages Relatively inexpensive and more effective than shop-bought home whitening kits
Disadvantages Takes longer than Zoom2! Inconvenience of wearing trays
Life Expectancy 2-3 years (with a top-up at 18 months)
Laser Whitening

For those looking for a much whiter smile in a very short period of time, Zoom2! laser whitening is one of the fastest whitening systems available in the world. Here, a higher concentration of whitening gel is applied to the teeth and activated with a high intensity plasma arc light. At the end of the appointment there is a noticeable change in the colour of the teeth. This is followed by a more rapid form of the home treatment to stabilize the colour change and enhance the final result.

Number of appointments required: 15min free consultation. Treatment as little as 24hrs later.
Treatment time Just over an hour
Results Up to 8 shades lighter
Advantages Quick, easy and comfortable with immediate results. Zoom2! Laser Whitening causes 73% less sensitivity than other ‘in-chair’ systems, such as Britesmile. It’s also longer lasting with less fade back
Disadvantages None
Life Expectancy 2-3 years (with a top-up at 18 months)
Porcelain Veneers

For those who have severe discolouration to their teeth, and where whitening has not provided the desired result, i.e. through Tetracycline staining, porcelain veneers then become the only other option for whitening your teeth. However we have found that when home whitening and laser whitening are done in conjunction with each other, the results of whitening Tetracycline stained teeth have been very impressive.
