Our veneer experts have fitted over 30,000 porcelain veneers, and have created the perfect smile for many celebrities.

At The Welbeck Clinic, the Veneers Dentists we are proud to provide non-prep porcelain veneers as an option for our patients. Having non-prep veneers offers a non-intrusive preparation procedure, with none or very minimal tooth substance removal. In many cases the non-prep veneers do not need the teeth to be grinded down to get the desired results. Ask our experts more about this treatment at your consultation.

Why choose us for your porcelain veneers smile makeover?
Our dental veneers process

Step 1: Consultation – Once you have got in contact with us, we will start the process off by having an initial consultation with you. Our treatment coordinator will kick start the initial process to learn more about your smile and answer any questions you may have before booking you a consultation with one of our porcelain veneers experts. We will transform your smile, we will even show you how your smile will look like with our digital imagery.

Step 2: Wax-Up – This is where we start the exciting process of planning your new smile. Impressions are taken for special models to be made, measurements taken and photos. This then goes to the laboratory who make up your new smile in wax form.

Step 3: Preparation – Now you have seen your new smile on the models and you love it, we prepare the teeth for veneers and lighten them if you want a whiter smile. We then take final impressions ready to go to the laboratory. We then fit temporaries to match your new smile whilst the dental veneers are being made. We decide on the colour of your veneers then send everything to the laboratory.

Step 4: Fitting – Your porcelain veneers are back from our laboratory in Italy and are ready to be fitted. We remove your temporaries and clean up the teeth to fit the final smile. The veneers are carefully bonded into place and the bite checked.

Step 5: Review – We see you a week or so later to ensure your bite is good and to ensure everything is ok. You sign your guarantee, then we look forward to seeing you again at your examination in six months.

FAQ

Dental cosmetic veneers are thin shells made of materials like porcelain, composite resin, or eMax that are custom-designed and bonded to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance.

The lifespan of dental veneers varies, but on average, porcelain veneers can last 10-15 years, while composite veneers may last 3-6 years. eMax veneers are known for their durability and can last longer, often 15 years or more with proper care.

Yes, dental veneers, especially those made of porcelain and eMax, are quite strong and can withstand normal daily activities. However, it's advisable to avoid using teeth for activities like opening bottles or biting hard objects to prolong the lifespan of veneers.

Suitable candidates for dental veneers are individuals with cosmetic concerns such as stained, discoloured, chipped, or misaligned teeth. Good oral health and a commitment to oral hygiene are essential.

The amount of tooth removal depends on the type of veneers used. Generally, porcelain veneers require the removal of a small amount of enamel (about 0.5mm), while composite veneers may require less or no enamel removal. Non-prep veneers, however, often require minimal to no tooth reduction.

  • eMax Veneers: Made of lithium desilicated ceramic, eMax veneers are known for their strength and natural appearance.
  • Feldspathic Veneers: These are traditional porcelain veneers, offering excellent aesthetics but may be slightly less durable than eMax.
  • Composite Veneers: Crafted from tooth-coloured composite resin, these veneers are a more economical option but may not last as long as porcelain counterparts (3-6 years).
  • Non-Prep Veneers: These veneers, like Lumineers, require minimal to no enamel removal, providing an option for those seeking a reversible and conservative cosmetic solution.

While veneers do not require special care, maintaining good oral hygiene practices, regular dental check-ups, and avoiding habits like teeth grinding or biting hard objects can contribute to their longevity.

Yes, damaged or discoloured veneers can be replaced. The process involves removing the existing veneer and creating a new one to restore the aesthetics and functionality of the tooth.

Traditional veneers are not reversible as they involve the removal of enamel. However, non-prep veneers offer a more conservative option that is potentially reversible.

Dental veneers are not suitable for individuals with active cavities or gum disease. It's essential to address and resolve any underlying dental issues before considering veneer placement to ensure long-term success and oral health.
