Dental Implants

Missing teeth can be replaced in a number of ways using the latest materials and techniques to make the ‘new’ tooth look natural.

For over 40 years, dental implants have offered an exciting long-term solution to the problem of missing teeth. They can replace one or more lost teeth or hold dentures securely in the mouth. The implant takes over the role of the root providing a foundation to which a cosmetic restoration can be secured. Dental Implants have a continuing success rate of 95-98%.

Dental Implants

In order to take over the role of the tooth root; the dental implant is inserted into the jawbone under local anaesthetic. It is subsequently interwoven painlessly with bone.

The most natural solution to tooth loss, both aesthetically and functionally is implant-bourne teeth. They are not only fixed as securely as your own natural teeth, but often cannot be distinguished in either function or appearance.

Unlike conventional bridges, when dental implants are placed, the neighbouring teeth do not have to be ground down to stumps in order to support it. Healthy teeth that would be damaged by traditional methods are preserved and there is no risk of tooth decay or problems with tooth roots that may arise with conventional bridges, as long as oral hygiene is maintained.

Dental Implants transmit chewing forces evenly to the jawbone. As with natural teeth, this chewing force stimulates bone and preserves it, halting the bone loss normally associated with missing teeth. Conventional treatment methods do not offer this important benefit.

Implant treatment can be broken down into four phases: treatment planning, implant placement, crown placement and hygiene maintenance. Your dentist will take x-rays and create a model of your existing teeth to determine how the implant should be placed. Occasionally, a bone or gum tissue graft will be needed to provide an adequate site for placement. On occasion, a CT scan is required to fully assess the bone level.

The implant is then placed in the bone and given a period of time to heal (osseointegrate) before attachment of the crown. In some cases, you can receive a temporary crown the same day. The final crown is usually placed 3-6 months after implant placement.

I can’t thank the whole team at The Welbeck Clinic enough! From my initial call which was so informative and helpful, my detailed consultation where I got to see my results digitally on a computer and the treatment for 8 upper beautiful porcelain veneers, the entire experience has just been second to none! Do not go anywhere else, this clinic really is the best! Thank you so so much! A very happy Hallie 🙂

They expect patients to wear masks! Must be a joke. Steer clear and visit a “normal” dentist.

I had veneers fitted by Dr Ilaty. She is a very experienced cosmetic dentist and fitted 8 of my upper veneers. They look great and I am very happy with the aesthetic look of my teeth. About 3-4 days after I had my teeth fitted, I started to experience pain in my jaw joints and restricted opening of my mouth. I relayed this to the clinic who wanted to see me ASAP for a check up, I could not attend the first two scheduled due to pain and migraines from my jaw pain. When I attended, Dr Ilaty confirmed my bite is in the correct position and simply brushed off my symptoms and told me to wear my mouth guard even though i expressed the mouth guard was putting me in a considerable amount of pain. I continued for approx 3 days wearing the mouth guard until my jaw locked and I could not open my mouth to eat, yawn or talk properly. I went to see a Maxillofacial Surgeon who confirmed the mouth guard was pushing my jaw into a displaced position and I will need surgery to correct this. I stopped going to my follow ups after this information as I was concerned about the after care they were providing me and DR Ilaty clearly has no experience with TMJ or jaw pain as she advised me to incorrectly wear a mouth guard which was not correctly set up for my jaw. Following my first surgery approx 1 yr later my jaw slipped back into the wrong place again. I saw a second consultant who performed a more complex version of the surgery i originally had to correct it. Now 1.5 year later, my jaw is back in the displaced position again. I have seeked a specialist advice based in Beverley Hills. He is 99% sure this was to do with the way in which Dr Ilaty aligned my teeth when she performed the restoration. She has put my jaw into the incorrect position and in order to fix this he is recommending me to get all my upper veneers redone and he will align them correctly. He has advised many UK Cosmetic Dentists do not link the two together: teeth & jaw so it can end up causing problems like this when the jaw alignment is not properly acknowledged. Please note: I have already spoken at length with the clinic about this and they were unhelpful and took no responsibility for the situation i now face. This is not about money for me, although this will be very costly to rectify. This is about putting me in a severe amount of pain and daily limitations for 2 years post veneers when really i should be enjoying my new lovely smile and pain free. I have not been able to enjoy having my dream teeth because of this. I was not looking for anything but compassion and honesty from Dr Ilaty and the team but it seems they want to push this onto me not coming in for my check ups where she would have offered my a 'splint' to help relieve my pain. Which would have done absolutely nothing as my jaw is in the wrong place. I feel like I should raise awareness that this could happen and is a risk to consider when getting veneers fitted. Do research on someone who links the two TMJ/Cosmetic Dentistry and you will be in the safest of hands. Prior to this, I never saw my jaw ever being an issue when getting veneers fitted so i wish someone told me this earlier. Unfortunately, this is my situation now and it is causing permanent damage to my jaw joint. 2* have been given as I love the way my teeth look. Constant reminders for check ups that I wasn't going to attend do not resonate as good aftercare to me. No care has been given to my welfare at any point so unfortunately, I will be posting this review.

I wish to share my positive experience with the Welbeck clinic in general and Giuliana Pecorella and her assistants in particular. She fitted a Swiss-made brace and final retainer over a period of months. I was always seen on time treated professionally and kindly. She took time to show me what actions she was taking and to explain what was happening. She was available via text and phone to answer any questions and deal with minor concerns. At all times she was warm and welcoming, making it easy for me to feel I was getting the best treatment. I would recommend Welbeck, Dr Pecorella and the other staff to anyone wishing to look into excellent dental health care. N H D, England

Over the past few years I have been looking into and considering porcelain veneers but held back as I anxious about finding the right one. A couple of my friends have had them from other dentist’s but the look was not natural. After looking into The Welbeck Clinic history and reviews, I decided to take a trip down to London and met up with a very professional Dr Llaty and her team. After leaving I was confident that is where I will go. I can’t express how happy I really am with my new set of teeth! I can now keep smiling without hiding my teeth! I would highly recommend checking out this clinic. A very happy Kelly Rogers

I have been considering veneers for some years but as a nervous patient I wanted to make sure I found the right clinic for me. After attending a few consultations in the area I decided to go ahead with treatment at The Welbeck Clinic. From the initial call where the lady was ever so patient and explained everything very clearly to the service and care you receive the moment you walk through the door I can't fault a single thing!!! Attending The Welbeck Clinic feels like I'm visiting friends rather than going for dental treatment! I would recommend this clinic to anyone!
